Into Being Centred
If you have ever suffered urinary leakage, an overactive bladder, low back pain, bloating, constipation, difficulty with balance, pelvic pain, TMJ pain then this workshop is for you.
The pelvic floor plays a vital role in our breathing mechanics, core stabilisation, balance, voice production, support for the pelvic organs and so much more.
Many of us have an over recruited pelvic floor and are unable to relax or fully contract these muscles.
In this workshop you will learn:
The role of the pelvic floor in breathing mechanics and stabilisation,
How to sense your pelvic floor,
How to relax and also engage it and when it is appropriate to use things like kegels and bandhas,
How the state of your nervous system influences the pelvic floor function,
The role of hip mobility and strength in health pelvic floor function,
The role of posture, alignment and over recruitment in pelvic floor function,
Why healthy pelvic floor function is so vital for doing the things we love with ease.
This workshop is part lecture and then experiential as we move through a gentle practice learning how to sense the pelvic floor and how to engage it as we practice or even if we need to engage it as we practice. The workshop concludes with a restorative body scan and relaxation to help you fully sense the relaxation response.
Your $70 investment includes a handout with home exercises and breathing work plus access to online videos to support the contents of the workshop with 3 months access to practice any time at home.
