Finding it hard right now?

You are not alone.

This time of the year is not easy for many, and this is without taking into account the painful events happening abroad.

I’ve found myself crying a lot, maybe you have too?

I have also had moments of absolute joy and wonder.

I’ve felt like I am on an emotional rollercoaster, never quite knowing what the next day will bring. (Thank goodness my hubby knows how to ride with me).

Life is messy, chaotic, beautiful, heart-wrenching, exquisite, painful, pleasurable, its everything and sometimes all of it at once!

Learning to be with it all, without pushing it away, running from it, or grasping to it is the key. Emotions, like the weather, come and go and sometimes there is ALOT of rain (especially here in Auckland) but when the sun shines….. oh boy do we appreciate it so much more.!

As Kahil Gibrain writes:

“The deeper the sorrow carves into your being the more joy you can contain”

When we are stressed, anxious or experiencing strong emotions we can feel contracted, tight, and rigid through the thoracic spine. I have created a 30min practice as my Christmas gift to you to help free up the thoracic spine, connect to the heart and cultivate gratitude.
